Rachel, along with her sisters Phoebe and Monica, found their way to YLDR after being discarded at a rural shelter. Phoebe and Monica have since been adopted and now it’s Rachel’s turn in the sun.
Rachel is a super sweet, loving girl. She’s also super smart and absolutely beautiful! She’s a 10 for sure.
Rachel loves anything outside. Whether it be walks, sun bathing or bird watching, she loves the outdoors. She also hasn't met a couch or chair she doesn't like and really enjoys snoozing on them to get her beauty sleep.
Rachel is great with kids, although she could accidentally knock over the little ones so children over 4 years is recommended. She patiently allows her kids to dress her up in costumes and have tea parties....she just loves to be around kids.
Rachel is friendly with other nice dogs, though she does need slow, guided introductions to help her feel more comfortable.
Rachel is a classic beauty that enjoys classic doggo activities. She loves her treats and she loves her naps. Being food motivated and super smart, she learns new commands quickly as long as you bring the snacks.
Rachel has been working with one of our trainers on overcoming some anxieties stemming from her rough start to life. She doesn’t prefer being separated from her persons and requests slow introductions to new friendly people. Rachel will definitely need a forever family who is committed to sticking to the established training plan, which YLDR will absolutely guide you through.
If you’re loving, patient and willing to continue the structured guidance Rachel desires, you will have an absolutely awesome dog for life.
Rachel is a lab/hound mix, estimated DOB is 10/3/15 and weighs ~65 pounds. She has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
